As the 2018 year opened, I was welcomed by the coordinators and students of the innovative PADILEIA program—Partnership for Digital Learning and Increased Access—located in the Bekaa region of Lebanon.  Organized by the American University of Beirut’s Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service in conjunction with King’s College in Britain, this program offers advanced university-preparation courses to Syrian students already holding the baccalaureate.  Part of this preparation includes training in digital and internet technologies, which is facilitated by the innovative “Ghana” school building invented by Rabih Shibli, Director of the CCECS.
I thank everyone at PADILEIA for allowing me to take photographs and engage with the students.
